Connectors

Connectors

Connectors let you attach the tools you already use — Linear, Notion, Asana, GitHub, Sentry, Stripe, or any remote MCP  server by URL — to your Bool account. Once a connector is on, the chat agent can pull in your data as it builds: look up a Linear issue, read a Notion doc, check a GitHub repo, and so on.

Connectors are personal to you and follow you into every Bool you chat in. Bool only ever acts with the access you granted, and you can disconnect anytime.

Connect a tool

Everything lives at Settings → Connectors.

One-click connectors

  1. Find the tool you want — Linear, Notion, Asana, GitHub, Sentry, or Stripe — and click Connect.
  2. You’re taken to that tool’s sign-in screen. Sign in with your account and approve the access Bool is asking for.
  3. You land back on Bool, the card flips to Connected, and you’re set.

Add a custom server

Under Add a custom server, paste any remote MCP server’s URL, give it a label if you like, and click Add. The URL must start with https://. The sign-in flow is the same as the one-click cards — and if the server doesn’t need a login, it connects right away.

Using connectors in chat

Once a connector is connected, its tools are available to the agent on every turn — there’s nothing to switch on. Just describe what you want:

Pull up my open Linear issues and turn the top one into a page.

Read this Notion doc and use it as the copy for the landing page.

When the agent uses one of a connector’s tools, the chat shows a chip with that tool’s icon and name, so you can see exactly what it reached for.

Disconnect or reconnect

  • Disconnect removes the connection and the credentials Bool stored for it. If you also want to cut off access immediately, revoke Bool from the tool’s own settings — otherwise the access expires on its own.
  • Reconnect shows up when a connection needs attention: a login expired, the server was unreachable, or the server changed the tools it offers. For your safety, Bool pauses a connector whose tools changed until you reconnect and approve the new set. Clicking Reconnect restarts the sign-in from scratch.

Troubleshooting

  • “Connectors aren’t configured on this deployment yet.” Connectors are turned off for this Bool deployment. Nothing you can fix from your account.
  • A card is stuck on Reconnect. The login expired, the server was unreachable, or its tools changed. Click Reconnect to sign in again.
  • “That connection attempt expired. Try again.” The sign-in took too long or was started in another tab. Just start the connect flow again.
  • A custom URL was rejected. Custom servers must use https:// and can’t point at a private or internal address.
  • A tool didn’t run on a turn. A slow or erroring connector is skipped for that turn so it never holds up the chat — later turns try again.
